2023 was celebrated as the International Year of Millets, positioning India as a global leader in millet revival.

Through initiatives like the Eat Right India Movement and POSHAN Abhiyaan, millets are being integrated into public nutrition programs.

Mid-Day Meals and Public Distribution System (PDS) are now including millet-based foods for better community health.
